Suffolk Show Platinum Jubilee Pageant Parade

   |   By

1st Martlesham Beavers, Cubs and Scouts took part in the Suffolk Show Platinum Jubilee pageant parade. The Lord, Lieutenant of Suffolk, Lady Clare, and Countess of Euston, represent the Queen to celebrate the achievements of the youth organisations and thank all volunteers who give up their time to provide the young people with these amazing opportunities. All those who attended the parade received their commemorative coin. The young people and adults also got the chance to enjoy the Suffolk Show.

All the leaders are incredibly proud of the young people who kept their focus whilst we waited almost two hours before the parade started. As with all great British events, the rain held off until the parade’s start, and so did the thunder, but these young people still held it together, centre stage with all eyes watching.

Plant a Tree for the Jubilee

   |   By

1st Martlesham Beavers, Cubs and Scouts were involved with planting a tree for The Queen’s Green Canopy to commence our Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Martlesham Heath Holderholders Ltd (MHHL) very kindly donated these trees and was also on hand to provide their green-fingered expertise with the planting on the village green.
